What is dotash?

Answer: Dotash is a server developemnt studio developed by Ashnah Software. It has all the common server like DNS, FTP, IMAP, SMTP, POP3, HTTP. It also includes a webbased CMS and visual website designer.

How much does it cost?

Beta version is completely free and future version will also be free for non-profit personal use.

Why another server?

Setup a server and maintaing it is a very complex work and only professional people dare to do so. With dotash any body who have webbrowsing and email using experience can setup a server. All the configuration are web based and only one executable to run. You can have a web , ftp, smtp, pop, imap, dns server running in a minute.

What programming language does dotash use?

Dotash made from the ground to be standard compliant. dotash has ashphp programming language, ashsql database. Ashphp is a new implementation of popular PHP programming language. It is easier than PHP. It hase lots of built in function yet it does not depend on any third party DLL or anything like that. Though it does not support all PHP function but it support enough function to run a dynamic database driven website.

Dotash also support PHP and any other language that is CGI standard compliant. Actually we have done lot of project with normal PHP and dotash.

What database does dotash use?

Dotash has its own ashsql database which is again just a mini mysql like database. You can use ashphp language to write database manipulation script as you can do with php/mysql.
